Aviva Community Fund Success!

We were so happy to support Newham New Deal Partnership in their bid for vital funding through the Aviva Community Fund. Among many other projects, they run digital support sessions called the @Online Clubs. These classes aim to reduce social isolation and increase digital abilities amongst the older generation; they are designed to be sustainable too, with star pupils being able to help as teachers and digital champions in future courses.Aviva Community Fund Celebration

Newham New Deal Partnership approached CaSE Insurance for support and we were happy to oblige. We visited their project, helped write their application and the whole CaSE Insurance team came together to drum up the support needed to progress through the competition stages.

As you can imagine, Newham NDP were delighted when they won enough votes to get through to the assessed round and we were both ecstatic and overjoyed when we found out that Newham NDP’s @Online Clubs had been judged by a panel of charity sector leaders to be a very worthy winner. The @Online Clubs were awarded almost £5,000 by the Aviva Community Fund!

Fast-forward to March 2017 and we were invited to an Aviva celebration event, along with Newham NDP’s Director, Fiona, and other winning charities or projects. The day was superb – a lively and exciting celebration of some fantastic causes from all over the UK. Compered by rugby legend Will Greenwood, we also received some digital training from the likes of Facebook and enjoyed a wonderful meal, all at the impressive Honourable Artillery Company in London.

Below is a selection of pictures from the event. You can see more in the Aviva Broker gallery here.
