The 2017 Aviva Community Fund winners have been announced. We’re very pleased to let you know that Creating Ground CIC’s Creative Skills project, supported by CaSE Insurance, has won vital funding to continue their fantastic work.
As an Aviva partner, CaSE Insurance is able to support Aviva Community Fund applications by submitting them on behalf of the organisation and entering them into the ‘Broker Awards’ – an extra category that can mean a better chance of success! After taking requests for support from many of our wonderful charity clients, we finally settled on Creating Ground CIC’s Creative Skills as the project whose application we would support for 2017.
A bit about Creative Skills
Run by experienced leader, Laura, the main aim of the Creative Skills workshops is to teach skills to women on entering the UK that that can be used to support their young families and employ in future careers. The workshops also provide a platform for education on how to integrate into the UK systems and provides vital signposting to services that they may require access to. ‘In truly welcoming these women to their new home, London, we can help relieve stress, develop confidence and introduce them to new friends and support networks’.
In high demand and massively appreciated by the attendees, we were pleased to support this project’s application into the Aviva Community Fund.
After supporting Creating Ground CIC with their application content and helping promote their project to gather as many votes as possible, we were very pleased to hear from the Aviva Community Fund team that the Creative Skills project had won the vital funding that they had applied for.
In Laura’s words: “The Aviva Community Fund will help us in running one or two additional cohorts of Creative Skills workshops. Not only will these women benefit, but our partner organisations will too, as more of their members can be referred to our service.”
Everyone at CaSE Insurance would like to thank Aviva for their fantastic Aviva Community Fund, and also wish Laura and Creating Ground CIC all the best for the future.
